Role Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled n8n Automation Expert to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will architect, build, and maintain complex workflow automations that integrate our core business tools (e.g., [CRM Name], [Project Management Tool], [Database]).

You will not just “set it and forget it.” We need a proactive partner who can optimize existing workflows, troubleshoot errors immediately, and suggest architectural improvements to keep our operations scalable and efficient.

Key Responsibilities:

• Workflow Architecture & Development: Design and build advanced n8n workflows to automate business processes (e.g., lead enrichment, automated reporting, customer onboarding, AI-driven content generation).
• API Integration: Connect disparate systems using REST APIs, Webhooks, and GraphQL. You must be comfortable working with raw HTTP requests when native nodes are insufficient.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Monitor active workflows for errors, debug execution failures, and implement robust error-handling logic (e.g., retry mechanisms, Slack/Email alerts on failure).
• Custom Logic: Write custom JavaScript/TypeScript code within n8n nodes for complex data transformation, filtering, and aggregation.
• Self-Hosted Management (Optional but Preferred): Assist in maintaining our self-hosted n8n instance (Docker/AWS/DigitalOcean), ensuring security updates and performance stability.
• Documentation: Maintain clear documentation for all workflows so that non-technical team members understand the logic and data flow.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Expert Proficiency in n8n: 2+ years of hands-on experience building production-grade workflows in n8n.
• Strong Technical Background: Solid understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, JSON, RegEx, and data structures.
• API Mastery: Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, Authentication methods (OAuth2, API Keys, Bearer Tokens), and Webhooks.
• Database Knowledge: Familiarity with SQL (Postgres, MySQL) or NoSQL (MongoDB, Firebase) databases.
• Problem Solver: Ability to debug complex execution logs and identify the root cause of “silent failures.”

Preferred / Bonus Skills:

• AI Integration: Experience utilizing LangChain nodes or integrating LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic) into n8n workflows for intelligent automation.
• DevOps: Experience deploying and managing n8n via Docker, CapRover, or Portainer.
• Tool Experience: Specific experience automating [Insert your specific tools, e.g., HubSpot, Airtable, Slack, Shopify].
